All the way from Carolina, Puerto Rico, the global sensation gives it his all for a sold-out Prudential Center in Newark, NJ for the Saturno World Tour.
With 57 shows in 14 different countries (so far), the “King of Reggaeton” has finally made his stop in New Jersey.
The tour has become its own aesthetic with a proper dress code as a super futuristic, galactic, and out-of-this-world style to represent the style of the album Saturno, meaning “Saturn” in Spanish. And let’s just say that the fans in Newark, New Jersey, did not come to play, as they dressed to impress.
As done in the past and no different now, Rauw had no opener. However, his major stage presence, pyrotechnics, and special guests, the Jabbawockeez, immediately made up for it as Alejandro put on such an electric performance that got everyone on their feet, in an instant.
He then started the night off promptly at 9:15 pm. Doors opened at 7, which gave people a lot of time to settle in and find their seats. However, even with that, the line began wrapping around the venue before the clock had a chance to hit 7:30.
With a voice, you might be familiar with if you’ve listened to the album’s interlude officially welcoming the crowd to the Saturno World Tour, the arena filled with cheers before Rauw even took the stage. He began the show with the title track of the latest album “Saturno” before popping up on stage and swiftly transitioning into global fan-favorite “PUNTO 40.”
Let it be known, that Rauw could never go on a tour without having some surprise factor, and this time he’s had many special guests of his own for the Saturno Tour. Jersey’s pick just so happened to be, none other than the “BELLAQUE?” singer Chris Palace. The two had their moment performing “GATAS” together before Rauw continued the show with “Sexo Virtual.”
And what makes Rauw’s show so special, has to be his choreography. He makes an effort to be synchronized with all his dancers and perform big dance breaks throughout the show, making it a big and renowned part of his tours. This tour has been a big example of the success Rauw has experienced, not only through Saturno but also his previous albums, Vice Versa and Afrodisíaco.
Rauw knows how to put on an unforgettable show and gives you this out-of-body perspective when listening to these different projects afterward. I would definitely recommend you to go and see him if you ever get the chance because it will be the biggest party you’ve gone to.
