After almost 8 consecutive years together, Latin American boy band CNCO has managed to grab their dream collaboration with renowned DJ and producer Steve Aoki right before they go their separate ways.
"We are thrilled to be a part of this record, collaborating with Steve was something we wanted to do for a long time–it's a new sound fans have never heard from us before," the group says.
In the song, the band — Christopher Vélez, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, and Zabdiel de Jesús — sing about how a relationship goes through its changes, shifting from one day to another with lyrics like “Lo que éramos antes, ya no está / Lo mejor de tú y yo, aquí está / Sólo quédate y dime que todo será diferente.“ (What we were before is gone / The best of you and me is here / Just stay and tell me that everything will be different.)
The collaboration, in my opinion, defines the phrase “The best of both worlds.” With its dance beat and nostalgic feeling, it brings something new to the table for both parties and something refreshing to the music scene.
